FamilyBlox

For parents

A free beta made by a parent for his own kids. This is exactly how it works today.

Accounts

A nickname and a password, nothing else required. A parent email is optional and only used for password help. New accounts are activated right away; email activation is coming.

Saving

Progress is saved to the account on our server and also kept on the device, so a dropped connection does not stop play. Several children can take turns on one account, each with their own character.

Purchases and ads

There are none. Blox is earned by playing. FamilyCoin is a bonus currency given through codes and events; payments may be added later and will always be clearly labelled and optional.

No chat

There is no chat, messaging, friend list or simultaneous online play. Nobody can contact your child through FamilyBlox.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed. After a few wrong attempts a connection is blocked automatically, and we can block accounts or connections that misbehave.

Content

Original cartoon characters and worlds. Tools are for building, not weapons; there is no blood or scary content. Seasonal events add friendly costumes and collectibles.

Where it runs

The game loads from familyblox.com and talks to console.familyblox.com, both hosted by Brooklyn Tech Support LLC behind Cloudflare. Connection data (IP address and approximate location) is used for security only.

Secret codes

The Credits screen has a code box. Codes unlock items for free and are not needed to enjoy the game.

See the privacy page for the full list of what is stored. Questions: [email protected].
